Boey Maun Suang is usually referred to in official records as Maun Suang Boey, or even Maun Boey; the resolute determination of most English record systems to force all names to fit English convention is a continuing source of disappointment for him. He doesn’t usually write in the third person, but thought it might be mildly amusing to do so here.
He is, at time of writing, an honours student in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, investigating the adequacy of supervaluationism as an account of vagueness. Sometimes it pains him that he can only cope with a few philosophical areas at a time when he is interested in just about all of philosophy, but he consoles himself with the thought that at least he is not interested in analytic metaphysics.
When he forgets that he should be working, he currently helps out with a few student societies, listens to programs from ABC Radio National, comedy from BBC7 and Radio 4, and tries to prevent friends from luring him into learning to play Warcraft III.
Boey Maun Suang is an exceptionally intelligent and articulate person with high personal standards and a penchant for Simon & Garfunkle dirges. - simon
